Day/Antebellum Huntsville
Tour
includes the Twickenham District, one of the largest collections of ante-bellum homes in the country. You
will hear stories about the people who lived in these homes and learn about the beautiful architecture. The tour also includes
a visit to Harrison Brothers General Store. Alabama’s Constitution Village will also be visited.
Here, docents in period costumes will transport you back to the early 1800s. You’ll also visit the Howard Weeden
home where Barbara Scott will bring the characters that lived there to life. A catered lunch will also
be served. In the afternoon you will tour the Burritt Open Air Museum and Mansion. Log
cabins from around the state of Alabama have been brought here and the grounds contain a barnyard, as well. The
Mansion is built in the shape of an X, and you’ll be treated to fascinating stories about the eccentric Dr. William
Henry Burritt. This will be followed by a trip to Huntsville’s Historic Railroad Depot, built in 1860 and occupied by

This
tour includes the Twickenham Historic District and a trip to Harrison Brothers General Store. Harrison
Brothers has been operating on the same spot since 1897. Next you will tour Alabama’s Constitution
Village, followed by a visit to the Howard Weeden Home. After departing the Weeden Home, you will visit
the US Space and Rocket Center. You will be on your own for lunch* here either in the cafeteria or food court, and then will
enjoy the indoor and outdoor museum as well as the IMAX Theater. This is the largest museum in the world
dedicated to space exploration. Interactive exhibits cover the history of the Apollo, Saturn, and Space
shuttle spacecrafts. The Davidson Center houses the newly restored Saturn V Rocket. After the Space and
Rocket Center you will visit the Huntsville Botanical Gardens, which contain the largest Butterfly House in the World.

visit Interior Marketplace and enjoy shopping in a quaint atmosphere where you can find unique gifts in a warm and inviting

visit Alabama’s Constitution Village and experience life in the early 1800s. At Interior Marketplace
you will have lunch at Cafe Michael and then enjoy free time for shopping. Interior Marketplace is filled
with quaint shops that carry unique items that you do not find in traditional shopping malls. The last
stop on this tour is either Burritt on the Mountain or the Historic Huntsville Depot. Tour begins at 8:30
